Knife Throwing Machine

A set piece with an instinct to kill. Created for a theatre production entitled 'Shadow of a Doubt', a collaboration with the Studebaker Movement Theatre of Boston in 1989. In the context of the play, a 'letter delivery machine' draws the protagonist to center stage and directly into the pathway of the knife.  The attempt to kill him is foiled however when the letter falls to the floor a moment before the knife is thrown.  Bending down to pick it up the letter, the knife flies harmlessly over the protagonist's head-  and into the wall behind him!
